Job Title: IT Technical Manager
Position Summary
The IT Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the organization’s IT infrastructure and operations. This role involves strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions that ensure secure, efficient, and scalable systems aligned with business goals. The IT Technical Manager leads a team of IT professionals, manages projects, and ensures high system availability, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure Management
- Design, implement, and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.
- Ensure system availability, performance, and scalability in line with organizational needs.
- Develop and manage disaster recovery and backup strategies to mitigate operational risks.
2. Team Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals (system administrators, network engineers, and support staff).
- Assign tasks, provide technical guidance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing IT culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
3. Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements, scope, and deliverables.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
4. Security and Compliance
- Implement and monitor IT security policies and procedures to safeguard data and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
- Proactively identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
5. Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide technical leadership for the resolution of complex IT issues.
- Develop and enforce IT support processes and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee end-user support to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
6. Vendor and Budget Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants.
- Evaluate and procure hardware, software, and IT services.
- Develop, manage, and track the IT department’s operational and capital budgets.
7. Strategic Planning
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their applicability to business operations.
- Contribute to the organization’s IT strategy, roadmap, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to enhance system efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in IT management or a similar technical leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in managing IT teams and delivering complex technology projects.
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of networking, servers, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven leadership, team-building, and mentoring capabilities.
Certifications (Preferred)
- ITIL, PMP, or other project management certifications.
- Microsoft, Cisco, or AWS certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect).

Work Environment
- Primarily office-based, with occasional remote work flexibility.
